FAFSA opened Oct. 1; apply today at fafsa.ed.gov
MURRAY, Ky. — Current and future students at Murray State University are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), now open as of Oct. 1. A completed FAFSA is required in order to receive financial aid, such as a Pell Grant or other federal money. Individuals can apply at fafsa.ed.gov and use Murray State code 001977.
Additionally, Murray State provides many Academic Achievement Scholarships as well as competitive and need-based scholarships. The Murray State General Scholarship Application for 2021-2022 is now open and required for competitive and need-based scholarship consideration.
Murray State offers two types of scholarships: academic achievement and competitive. Academic achievement scholarships are only awarded to incoming freshmen at the time of admission. Competitive scholarships require students to complete the Murray State General Scholarship Application and are awarded after the application deadline. Recipients must reapply each year.
