Award honors outstanding organizations for their support of Murray State
MURRAY, Ky. — The Murray State University Hutson School of Agriculture (HSOA) has named Hutson, Inc. as a recipient of the prestigious HSOA Support Award, reserved for only a select few who have assisted Murray State agriculture in enormous ways.
Hutson, Inc. is a farm equipment dealership with 13 locations across three states, and is headquartered in Murray, Kentucky. Since its founding in 1928, the Hutson name has been consistent with innovative agricultural products and services. With a foundation built upon a strong commitment to customer service, they have sunk their roots deep in the community.
From their humble beginnings more than 85 years ago, Hutson has grown and evolved to meet the growing needs of their customers. It is through their dedicated employees and customers that they have been able to diversify from a single-location farming mercantile into one of the largest John Deere dealers in North America.
Hutson has been a strong supporter of Murray State agriculture, going all the way back to the ownership days of Dan Jr. and Cindy Hutson. Hutson continually supports HSOA fundraisers and activities, including Fall on the Farm and Soybean Promotion Day, while also serving as the title sponsor of the annual Hutson Harvest Gala to support the Arboretum at Murray State. In addition to monetary support, Hutson is a regular at University career fairs and consistently hires Murray State agriculture graduates to support the human capital needs of their company.
