MURRAY, Ky. — The alumni and community support at Murray State University for the second annual All Campus Give campaign in April raised $8,224.11 to help launch the new Racer Traditions Fund.

Established in 2018, the Racer Traditions Fund will provide support for the University’s most beloved campus traditions. From Racer One to Campus Lights, these are the traditions that helped make generations of Racer alumni’s collegiate experiences memorable.

“These efforts will ensure that these, and many new traditions, continue for generations to come,” said Murray State President Bob Davies while thanking alumni and donors for their support.

Inspired by a beloved University tradition — Sigma Alpha Iota’s All Campus Sing — the annual All Campus Give campaign enables alumni and friends of the University to join in the excitement while supporting their favorite campus traditions. Gifts to the Racer Traditions Fund were made in honor of one or more of the donors’ favorite campus organizations. Bragging rights and cash prizes were awarded to the three campus organizations that raised the most funds.

The following three campus organizations were named the 2018 winners of All Campus Give: first place to Pi Kappa Alpha, second place to Alpha Tau Omega and third place to Sigma Sigma Sigma.

The campaign ran March 28 through April 11 and featured an online giving website that provided ongoing campaign updates. Promoted primarily online, the campaign was featured on all the University’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube.

The University will continue to raise funds for the Racer Traditions Fund with a goal of raising $25,000 in 2018 to endow the new fund. To make a gift to the new Racer Traditions Fund, please contact the Office of Development at 877-282-0033.
