MURRAY, Ky. — The ninth annual A Taste of the Arts dinner and auction will be hosted by Murray State University and sponsored by FNB Bank on Thursday, Oct. 26 at 5:00 p.m. in the Murray Room of the CFSB Center.
A Taste of the Arts is an event that showcases the talent of Murray State art, music and theatre students while providing fine dining, including live and silent auctions, for attendees. The event gathers community members, Murray State supporters and alumni together to celebrate students in the fine arts.
“We invited our most talented student performers from the departments of art, music and theatre to demonstrate their talents and represent their peers,” said Lucy Love, director of development for the College of Humanities and Fine Arts and the Honors College.
“I have a wonderful committee working together to bring innovative ideas to the event, and already we’ve made some exciting changes to the student performances while maintaining the tradition of supporting student scholarships in the fine arts,” continued Love. “We’re excited to shake things up a bit!”
This year’s recipient of the College of Arts and Humanities Outstanding Alumni Award is Shelia Miller, ’60, of Owensboro, a retired teacher from Daviess County High School.
