Murray State University’s Roundabout U co-hosts explore the first part of a two-part series on the music connections between the eastern part of Kentucky and Nashville, Tenn.

Jim Carter and Sarah Clark spoke with Bernard Porter and Ken Carreier, who are working to bring talented singers and songwriters from the hills of Kentucky to Music Row. During their time in Nashville, they caught up with talented artists from Eastern Kentucky who are working toward a music career. Clark also had the chance to talk to country music legend Tom T. Hall, whose roots started in east Kentucky.
