The Murray State men’s basketball program and their exhibition tour of Toronto was the focus of an article by Jeff Goodman of on Aug. 9.

After his first games as MSU head coach, Steve Prohm and the Racers are back in the states and now scattered to their various home towns for a few days before the fall semester begins Tuesday.

The trip turned out well for the Racers with three wins in four days. Including a hard-fought 79-72 win over the ABA Canada All-Stars.

The trip was a good chance for the new coaches and student-athletes to build a team bond. “It was great,” Prohm Told CBS. “Great for me – and even better for our guys.”

Goodman asked Prohm several questions about the Canada exhibition trip including; what he learned, what impressed him and what concerned him as he heads into his first season as the leader of Racer Basketball.
