MURRAY, Ky. — Murray State University’s College of Education and Human Services held its fourth annual Scholarship and Service Recognition Banquet April 26. This event serves to both recognize students who have received academic scholarships within the college and to honor the generous benefactors of those awards.

The 2016-17 recipients of the Dr. Chuck and Paula Hulick Endowed Scholarship were Makayla Hamilton and Tori Scroggins.

According to Dr. David Whaley, dean of the College of Education and Human Services, “This continues to be one of our most significant annual events in the college. It’s always a joy to honor the generous commitments of our donors and friends as well as the outstanding academic achievements of our students.”

When asked about the atmosphere of this event, Whaley explained that “students have the opportunity to sit with their scholarship donors in a relaxed environment over dinner to share more about themselves and their future plans. This is just one way that our students and this college have of saying a special thank you to our remarkable donors.”
