Co-hosts Sarah Clark and Jim Carter are still in China for this second edition of Roundabout U in Asia.

Murray State University has a partnership with Qingdao Agricultural University (QAU), so while the two were there, they caught up with the QUA president and other professors and students. Aside from learning the culture and the Mandarin language, Carter and Clark toured the QAU campus and interacted with the students.

With the help of faculty and staff at Qingdao Agricultural University, Carter and Clark are supporting President Barack Obama’s “100,000 Strong” initiative, aimed at getting more American students to study in China.

Carter and Clark experienced the Asian culture in 21 days, returning to the states with two special editions of Roundabout U.

Last week’s episode of Roundabout U featured the first two weeks travel and included MSU’s Discover China program and taking in classic Chinese wonders such as The Great Wall and the Terracotta Warriors. They also spoke with Chinese students who had returned home after spending study time at Murray State.

This second special installment of Roundabout U airs at various times from July 31-Aug. 6, and is broadcast on KET (Kentucky Educational Television) and through local cable systems. Specific airing dates and times can be found online at www.roundaboutu.com.
